The Toxics Reduction Act (TRA) and Ontario Regulation 455/05 (O. Reg. 455/09) require certain manufacturing and mineral processing facilities to examine how and why they use and/or create prescribed toxic substances and consider opportunities for reduction to protect the health of people and the environment.
