CPL’s formulation scientist, Aashma Shah, showcases research on achieving consistent viscosity in semi-solid drug products by deepening understanding of polymeric material attributes. Aashma’s poster presentation explores how polymer characteristics, such as molecular weight, functional groups, and moisture content, directly affect batch-to-batch consistency. By applying calculated compensation strategies during formulation, CPL demonstrated significantly tighter viscosity control across commercial-scale batches. This work highlights CPL’s scientific rigor in formulation development and its ability to translate laboratory insights into scalable, reproducible manufacturing outcomes for complex semi-solid dosage forms.
