Compounder's - Full Time & Contact Positions

Contract Pharmaceuticals Limited is a contract manufacturer and packager of prescription and over the counter pharmaceutical products. We are dedicated to providing comprehensive and innovative outsourcing services that exceed the uncompromising demands of the global pharmaceutical industry.

Purpose: Compounders will manufacture products in accordance with the Manufacturing Work Orders.  Ensures product quality by following the relevant Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's).

- Responsible for working in compliance with established safe work practices and procedures; properly uses personal protection and safety equipment as required by CPL; reports any injury or illness immediately and notifies CPL of any hazards, unsafe acts or conditions in the work place.
- Ensure that materials in the Manufacturing area are maintained in accordance with GMP's and SOP's.
- Maintain/clean all equipment in the manufacturing department.
- Clean and sanitize manufacturing equipment according to the relevant SOP's.
- Maintain the manufacturing rooms to ensure GMP and SOP compliance.
- Checks meters, scales, load cells, temperature indicators, mix indicators and other manufacturing equipment for proper calibration/accuracy.
- Responsible for correctly filling out all applicable manufacturing tags and documents accordingly.  Weigh, verify, and compound raw materials according to the Manufacturing Work Order instructions.
- Perform cleaning, sanitation and re-sanitation of product-contact equipment, utensils and premises as per approved SOP.
- Disassemble, clean, sanitize, reassemble and store manufacturing equipment as per standard operating procedures.
- Assist in weighing, manufacturing and performing set up for batches as per manufacturing work order.
- Continue to acquire the necessary knowledge needed for batching all MWO and continuously learn to operate all compounding equipment.
- Performing housekeeping and daily checks to ensure and maintain manufacturing rooms and manufacturing hallway as per cGMP and SOP compliance.
- Perform cleaning by entering confined space in compliance with safety procedures and guidelines.
- Contribute to achieving Lean Goals and continuous improvements.
- Other duties as assigned.

- Minimum post secondary education is required in a related field.  Equivalent experience will also be considered.
- Minimum of one year of experience in a production or pharmaceutical environment.
- Good English verbal and written communication skills.
- Flexible with the ability to adapt, respond quickly and manage change in a fast paced environment.
- Ability to work under given timelines, multitask and attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy.
- Demonstrated competencies in CPL's core values Fairness, Trust, Respect and Integrity.
- Completion of required training program for Compounder Probationary/Leaning as per Plateau Compounder Training Profile.


- May be required to manually handle heavy cases and drums of materials on and off skids without mechanical assistance.
- Push and pull automatic hand truck.
- Pulling, pushing and pumping with manual pump truck, heavy skids.
- Confined space entry may be required.
